The Chicago Sky, of women’s basketball’s top-tier WNBA, have struck a deal with live sports streaming service Fubo.
The tie-up represents Fubo’s first with a WNBA franchise and follows similar partnerships the service has struck with a quartet of Major League Baseball (MLB) franchises.
As the Sky’s official streaming service partner, Fubo will offer the team’s season ticket members extended free trials, while non-season ticket holders “will be eligible for a 14-day free trial.”
In addition, Sky fans who are also Fubo subscribers will also be eligible for game-day discounts at the Wintrust Arena where the team plays its home games. As well as this, Sky home games will see Fubo’s branding and subscription information.
Fubo currently streams Sky fixtures through its content partners, including Marquee Sports Network, CBS, CBS Sports Network, ION, and NBA TV.
Alberto Horihuela, Fubo co-founder and chief operating officer, said: “We’ve always championed women’s sports at Fubo, and our partnership with the Chicago Sky lets us support the team on a deeper level. Our performance marketing team has come up with a myriad of ways Sky fans can engage with us this season.”

The 2023 WNBA regular season began on May 19 and will run until September 10.
The four recent MLB deals Fubo has struck are with the Seattle Mariners, Boston Red Sox, Cleveland Guardians, and St. Louis Cardinals.
