UK commercial radio broadcaster TalkSport has announced non-exclusive coverage rights for the Olympic Games Paris 2024 in the UK and Ireland.
Under the new deal, TalkSport will provide commentary for the upcoming Olympics this summer through a sublicense agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery.
The partnership also allows the wider News Broadcasting Network, TalkSport’s parent company, including Virgin Radio UK, Times Radio, TalkRadio, and the network’s Irish stations to broadcast the Olympics.
The deal marks the first time the rights to broadcast the Olympics have been made available to commercial radio.
Head of TalkSport, Liam Fisher, said: “It's such a thrill to be able to deliver the Olympics to TalkSport listeners with our world-class commentary team and presenters informing and entertaining fans every step of the way.
“We are extremely excited to take on the mantle of broadcasting rights for the Olympics, with our wide array of pundits expertly placed to deliver commentary across the sporting disciplines.”
