SPOTV, the pan-regional sports channel of South Korean broadcaster Eclat Media, has launched its channels on the MyTV platform in Vietnam.
Through the deal, SPOTV will offer its sports content to viewers in the country as it further expands its reach in Southeast Asia.
MyTV is one of Vietnam's largest television service providers with nearly 200 television channels.
SPOTV has an extensive sports rights portfolio that includes motorcycling’s MotoGP, soccer’s Saudi Pro League, Wimbledon, US Open (tennis), The Open Championships (golf), World Table Tennis, Badminton World Federation events, as well as popular Asian sports including the Korean Baseball League, V-League (volleyball), and East Asia Super League (basketball).
The broadcaster runs two regional sports channels, SPOTV and SPOTV2. It is currently distributed across territories in Southeast Asia such as Indonesia (MNC Vision, K-Vision), Hong Kong (Now TV), Malaysia (Astro, Unifi TV), the Philippines (Cignal, Skycable), Singapore (Singtel TV, StarHub TV), Thailand (TrueVisions), Vietnam (MyTV), and Macau (Macau Cable TV) in East Asia.
The SPOTV Now streaming service is available in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore with other markets to follow.
