Sportdigital, the German sports-focused linear channel, has agreed a rights deal to show Spanish basketball’s ACB competitions in the DACH region.

The broadcaster will provide coverage of the Liga Endesa, Copa del Rey, and Supercopa competitions in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein, for the remaining 2024-25 season and the entire 2025-26 campaign.

The agreement covers the broadcast rights for live games as well as the weekly magazine show ‘The Fifth Quarter’, which features highlights from all the games, action and plays from the latest round, and special features.

The deal was brokered by Munich-based sports media advisory SN1.

Last month (December), the ACB secured broadcast deals for its competitions in Asia and Africa with new agreements in China (Douyin and Penguin Sports), Iraq (Al Rabiaa), Kazakhstan (Sport Plus), and Egypt (OnTime).

Ahead of the season, the league body also announced broadcast deals in several South American countries, the Caribbean, and Mexico. The top-tier Liga Endesa is being shown in 145 countries and territories in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas this season.
