UK pay-TV heavyweight Sky has renewed its rights to cover golf’s US PGA Championship for the next three editions.
The broadcaster today unveiled it will also continue to cover the US Senior PGA Championship between 2024 and 2026.
The previous deal between Sky and US golf’s PGA of America body ran between 2019 and 2023, running out after this year’s edition of the PGA Championship, which took place at Oak Hill Country Club in New York.
The pay-TV giant has covered the championship for most of the last few decades, with its coverage interrupted in 2017 and 2018 (those editions shown by the BBC and Eleven Sports, respectively).
The 2024 PGA Championship will be held at the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, from May 13 to 19, with the Senior PGA Championship to run between May 23 and 26 in Benton Harbor, Michigan.
Sky’s extensive golf portfolio in the UK and Ireland covers all four men’s major tournaments, as well as all women’s majors, the Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup Europe vs USA competitions, as well as the DP World Tour, Ladies European Tour, and LPGA Tour.

Jonathan Licht, Sky Sports managing director, said: “We're really pleased to be able to confirm this extension with the PGA and continue the brilliant relationship that has enabled us to deliver the best possible coverage to golf fans across the years.
"It's been great to see our viewing figures and golf audience continue to grow, and we know we have an amazing opportunity over the next three years to continue to grow the sport, alongside our great partners at the PGA.”
The last renewal between Sky and the PGA Tour came in June 2022.
In May this year, meanwhile, the pay-TV network renewed its rights to the iconic US Open major through 2025, with that tie-up also covering the US Women’s Open, the US Women’s Amateur Championship, the Curtis Cup Match between the UK and Ireland and the USA, the US Senior Open, and the US Amateur Championship.
Domestically, the PGA Championship is covered by Paramount, with the weekend rounds shown by the CBS Sports network.
