PTV, the state broadcaster in Pakistan, and media company Tower Sports have today secured non-exclusive domestic rights to competitions organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC) through the end of 2025.
Alongside TV rights, both parties will have digital rights as part of the two-year package.
The deal covers six men’s and women’s ICC World events. These include this year’s Men’s and Women’s T20 World Cups and the 2025 U19 Women’s T20 World Cup, Men’s Champions Trophy, World Test Championship Final, and Women’s Cricket World Cup.
The tender process in Pakistan began in early February.
Geoff Allardice, ICC chief executive, said: “We are delighted to welcome PTVC and Tower Sports into our portfolio of broadcast partners for the next two years. Pakistan is a very important market for world cricket with a large and passionate fan base.”
The most recent major ICC event, the 2023 Men's Cricket World Cup in India, was covered live by PTV and ARY in Pakistan.
