Professional Bull Riders (PBR), the US-based international bull riding circuit, has renewed its long-running broadcast deal in Canada with TSN, the Bell Media-owned sports network, for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
In 2025, TSN will deliver more than 30 weeks of PBR programming for the eighth consecutive year, including highlight specials from both the PBR Canada Cup Series and PBR Monster Energy Team Challenge.
Coverage for the 2025 season will begin today (March 12) with the first broadcast of the PBR Canada Cup Series, recapping all the action from the season-launch event in Red Deer, Alberta.
Programming will continue on March 19 and March 26 through a two-part recap of the Cup Series’ two-day event in Lethbridge, Alberta. The competition is celebrating its 10th anniversary season.
The subsequent eight weeks of coverage from April 2 to May 28 will televise the Monster Energy Team Challenge, which will conclude in August.
The 2025 PBR World Championship, featuring a $1 million prize pot, takes place in September, while the final regular-season event of the year in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan will be held in November.
Jason Davidson, general manager of PBR Canada, said: “For more than seven years, TSN has been an instrumental partner for PBR, helping to take the sport of bull riding to new heights in Canada.
“Last season alone, PBR Canada’s elite Cup Series not only witnessed explosive growth in arenas across the country, setting numerous records, and selling out nearly every tour stop, but also through our increased viewership for our broadcasts.”
Last month (February), it was announced that PBR is now formally under the control of TKO Group, the sports division controlled by entertainment giant Endeavor.
TKO purchased several sporting assets from Endeavor, including PBR, IMG (sports marketing agency), and On Location (hospitality and events). The leadership of PBR remains unchanged.
