Evision, the media and entertainment division of the e& Emirati technology and investment group, has snapped up exclusive rights to the upcoming season of franchise Twenty20 cricket’s Indian Premier League (IPL).
The deal means Evision’s CricLife1 channel will cover all 74 matches from the 10-team 2023 IPL exclusively across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Action begins on March 31 with defending champions Gujarat Titans taking on Chennai Super Kings and runs through to May 28.
CricLife1 is available through the eLife, Switch TV, and Starzplay platforms across MENA.
Olivier Bramly, vision’s chief executive, said: “The acquisition of the exclusive broadcast and media rights for the 2023 IPL is a significant milestone for Evision. The IPL is one of the most anticipated cricket events of the year, and we are thrilled to offer our viewers the opportunity to experience it exclusively on CricLife1.
“We are committed to providing the best possible coverage of the event and delivering the best in sports and entertainment from local and international content providers.”
In the few days left before the 2023 IPL begins, a range of media rights and sponsorship deals for the tournament are currently being struck.

By GlobalDataLate last week (March 24), heavyweight UK pay-TV broadcaster Sky Sports and subscription platform DAZN announced they would both cover every fixture from this year’s tournament live in the UK and Ireland.
Sky has been the exclusive UK home of IPL action since the start of the 2020 season, while the agreement represented a significant breakthrough into the cricket rights market for DAZN.
Domestically, the 2023 IPL will be shown by pay-TV network Star India, owned by Disney.
Evision acquired a swathe of major golf rights across MENA in early January.
