International sports streaming platform DAZN has increased its global footprint by launching its premium subscriptions product in Belgium, Portugal, and Taiwan.
The launch brings DAZN’s total core markets to ten after its acquisition of Eleven Sports in February.
DAZN Belgium’s coverage now includes their domestic soccer league, the Jupiler Pro League, as well as international content such as Italian soccer's top-tier Serie A, basketball's NFL, and American football's NBA, while DAZN Portugal will have international soccer rights such as the English Premier League and UEFA Champions League.
DAZN Taiwan will offer fans Spanish soccer's top-tier LaLiga, Major League Baseball, and the Chinese Professional Baseball League.
Existing Eleven channels in these markets will remain via the DAZN app. Eleven will also continue to operate its existing linear business for pay TV in these markets in addition to DAZN’s network of TV-based apps.
Shay Segev, chief executive of DAZN Group, said: “DAZN is absolutely committed to growth. That means growing our user base, the number and range of premium sports rights we can offer DAZN customers, and expanding our core markets.

By GlobalData“The addition of Belgium and Portugal to Germany, Italy, Japan, and Spain where DAZN has leading domestic football rights or other internationally renowned competitions such as the English Premier League or UEFA Champions League, is great news for DAZN and our ever-increasing number of subscribers.
“DAZN has achieved so much over the past year, securing deals and partnerships that are the foundations of the ambitious future scale of the business.
“Transitioning Eleven is a significant part of that, and I am positive that our new customers will be enjoying access to more content, better technology, and a whole new world of possibilities that will be delivered by DAZN in the coming months and years as we create the world’s ultimate sports platform.”
In addition to DAZN’s ten core markets, DAZN is available in over 230 territories.
Last week, DAZN signed a distribution partnership with Italian digital television platform Tivù srl, which is jointly owned by Rai, Mediaset, Telecom Italia Media, Associazione TV Locali, and Aeranti Corallo.
The partnership brings DAZN content to the digital terrestrial platform as well as to its free Italian satellite platform Tivùsat. The deal allows Tivùsat users and DAZN subscribers to access DAZN's live and on-demand content.
