DAZN, the international sports streaming service, has added more Italian soccer rights to its portfolio after expanding its content tie-up with Italian soccer's FIGC governing body.
DAZN is the FIGC's major domestic broadcast rightsholder and the latest deal will see the broadcaster air live coverage of the Serie A women's championship for the 2023-24 season across several key regions.
The deal covers Italy, the USA, Canada, Japan, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Ireland, the UK, Portugal, Belgium, and Poland.
The partnership begins with the second round of the championship being broadcast on DAZN, which kicks off with Roma against Como Women on September 30.
Gabriele Gravina, president of the FIGC, said: “We are very satisfied with DAZN's interest in the eBay Women's Serie A.
“The development of Italian women's football also involves greater visibility and the agreement with the reference broadcaster for the men's Serie A, and above all for international women's football, I am sure will broaden the audience of fans.

Stefano Azzi, chief executive of DAZN Italia, added: “With the arrival of the Women's Serie A eBay on DAZN, our collaboration with FIGC takes a further step forward.
“The constant attention paid to women's competitions is concretely reflected in our editorial offer and in the agreements made with the Federations and sports leagues at a global level which have made it possible to bring the most important women's competitions onto our platform.
“We are proud to be alongside the Italian Football Federation and the Clubs to continue our long-term commitment also in Italy and thus contribute to the growth in terms of visibility of this competition, bringing it to an ever-wider audience of fans."
This deal adds to DAZN’s women's soccer coverage, which already includes the UEFA Women's Champions League, Barclays FA Women's Super League, National Women's Soccer League, Liga F, and the Frauen Bundesliga.
The FIGC and DAZN are already close partners, with DAZN holding exclusive rights to seven out of 10 Serie A fixtures each gameday through a deal struck in 2021, as well as a youth soccer and behind-the-scenes VAR deal signed earlier this year.
