International sports streaming platform DAZN has announced a new partnership with Tottenham Hotspur Women (Spurs) of UK women’s soccer’s top-tier Women’s Super League.

The partnership, which is globally facing, will allow Spurs fans access to ancillary content around the team such as player interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and shoulder content surrounding matches, through DAZN.

That brand will erect a dedicated Spurs hub within its free women’s soccer portal in order to house the club’s content, launching ahead of the upcoming 2024-25 season with 20 video content pieces already included.

The OTT service will also offer exclusive benefits such as ticketing and merchandise discounts on the Spurs content hub.

Adding a dedicated Spurs content rail to DAZN is the latest step in the service’s drive to grow its free-to-air “freemium” content library of women’s soccer rights.

DAZN, back in January, announced it was lifting the paywall for its women’s soccer rights in the UK, a portfolio that includes games from the top leagues in Spain, Germany, France, and Italy, as well as action from the Women’s Saudi Premier League. Most prominently, DAZN also holds global rights to European soccer’s UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL), which during the last cycle it also covered primarily for free.

Speaking on the partnership with Tottenham Hotspur Women and its broader soccer strategy, DAZN’s women’s sport chief executive Esmeralda Negron stated: “By aggregating club content in one place and collaborating with Spurs to offer fans exclusive benefits and experiences, we are creating a platform that not only enhances the fan experience but also offers new opportunities for sponsor engagement, driving mutual growth and success.”

Tottenham Hotspur Women managing director Andy Rodgers added: “Our partnership with DAZN presents a fantastic opportunity to continue growing our fanbase and comes at a perfect time. Following on what was a memorable 2023/24 campaign, we know demand for Tottenham Hotspur Women’s content has never been higher and DAZN’s global platform provides another avenue for our fans to get closer to the players and build a bond with the team ahead of the new season.”

2023-24 saw Spurs reach the final of the Women's FA Cup domestic knockout competition, where they lost to Manchester United.
