CBS Sports, an arm of the major US network owned by media giant Paramount, has announced plans to launch a free digital 24-hour channel dedicated to soccer next month.
The broadcaster said its new CBS Sports Golazo Network, to debut on April 11, will house its portfolio of live and archived match rights, highlights, studio shows, and documentaries.
CBS holds rights in the US to the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, and Europa Conference men's club competitions, as well as top-tier men’s leagues including Italy’s Serie A, the Scottish Premiership, the Argentine Primera Division, and Brazil’s Campeonato Brasileiro Série A.
It also has rights to the domestic National Women’s Soccer League and English soccer’s Women’s Super League, as well as South American Concacaf national team competitions and Asian Football Confederation competitions.

By GlobalDataThe centerpiece of its studio shows will be a daily two-hour program on weekdays called Morning Footy, which will see a four-person studio panel cover a variety of topics from the world of soccer.
The channel will stream on CBS Sports digital platforms, as well as the Paramount+ and Pluto TV streaming services.
