Big3, the US professional 3-on-3 basketball league co-founded by rapper Ice Cube and his long-term business partner Jeff Kwatinetz, has announced a deal to stream live matches and other new content on X, the social media heavyweight formerly known as Twitter.
It has not been specified how many live matches will be covered on X in what will be Big3’s eighth season.
In a statement posted on X, Big3 stated: “Catch us live on X and CBS all summer long! We’re partnering with X to bring live games, brand-new content, and unprecedented access to our fans around the world.”
The deal is paired with Big3’s deal extension last November with national network CBS Sports for the fifth consecutive season.
CBS will still be Big3’s primary broadcaster for the 2024 season, showing over 20 regular season games, the playoffs, the championship game, and the all-star and celebrity games.
The 2024 Big3 season is set to run from June 15 until August 18, following ratings and attendance increases in its sixth season.

By GlobalDataThe X partnership follows the company’s deal earlier this month with the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) promotion, with the social media heavyweight set to broadcast an exclusive weekly video series known as WWE Speed. It will involve timed matches, completed in five minutes or less.
X also has a deal in place to amplify coverage of the upcoming Olympics and Paralympics in Paris this year on NBCUniversal, the US rights-holder.
