International sports broadcaster BeIN Sports has extended its deal in Australia covering men’s tennis’ top-tier ATP Tour for the next three seasons.

The deal begins with the upcoming 2025 ATP campaign – which will kick off in Australia in the new year – and extends BeIN’s period as ATP rights-holder in that country, with the original deal having got underway in 2021. It then runs through 2026 and 2027.

The tie-up covers all ATP Masters 1000 events, ATP 500 tournaments, as well as the season-ending finals, for the next three seasons.

This deal has been unveiled with Australia’s Alex De Minaur currently competing in the 2024 men’s ATP Finals in Turin, Italy – the first time an Australian has qualified for the end-of-season finals since 2004. There are also two other Australians – Alexei Popyrin and Jordan Thompson – in the current ATP’s top 30 rankings.

It also adds to BeIN’s Australian coverage of women’s tennis’ WTA Tour (2022 through 2026), as well as the Davis Cup (men’s) and Billie Jean King Cup (women’s) national team competitions.

BeIN has also been covering the ATP Tour in the Middle East and North Africa, and in nine southeast Asian countries, this year.

BeIN’s coverage of ATP action will be available for Australian audiences on the BeIN Sports Connect live streaming app, as well as through the Amazon Prime Video and Fetch TV services.

In terms of coverage of other top-tier tennis action for Australian audiences, the annual hard-court Australian Open major event is shown live by Nine Network, through a deal struck in November 2022 which was reported at the time as being worth the equivalent of $275 million.

Nine also covers the iconic Wimbledon Championships grass-court event from the UK.

BeIN Sports in Australia, meanwhile, also covers top-tier European soccer (including the men’s leagues from Spain, Germany, and Italy, as well as cup action from Germany and France) and northern hemisphere rugby union.
