Amazon Prime Video, the e-commerce giant's OTT service, is set to offer matches from the UEFA Nations League European national teams tournament on a pay-per-view (PPV) basis.
Matches for the men's competition will cost £2.49 ($3.14) per game starting with today's Nations League quarterfinals featuring the Netherlands vs. Spain and Italy vs. Germany. Coverage of this year's tournament will continue until the final on June 8.
The matches are part of a wider deal for Amazon to offer all UEFA men's national team matches via PPV through June 2026, including select European qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and European international friendlies, as well as Nation League play-off games.
The deal does not include the four home nations sides from the UK. Domestic rights to Nations League matches involving England are held by public broadcaster ITV in a deal running through 2028, while games involving Scotland, Nothern Ireland, and Wales will be shown by fellow public broadcaster the BBC.
Tim Wood, head of rights and business affairs for Prime Video Sport, EMEA, said: “We’ll be able to offer the biggest knockout fixtures in the UEFA Nations League starting this week and through to its conclusion in the summer, alongside other great UEFA National Team Football matches, for a low-cost and without the need for a subscription.”
The announcement comes a month after Prime Video also started to offer matches from French soccer’s top-tier Ligue 1 on a PPV basis.
The deal sees up to three Ligue 1 games per weekend becoming available on Prime Video's marketplace, and similarly to the Nations League matches, the cost for UK fans will be £2.49 per game, with no requirement to sign up for Amazon Prime membership.
These deals further add to Amazon Prime’s live sports portfolio in the UK, which also includes Europe's top-tier UEFA Champions League, which it shares with pay-TV broadcaster TNT Sports, as well as 20 live games each year from the English Premier League.
