The BWT Alpine Formula 1 (F1) motor racing team has signed a “first-of its-kind” commercial partnership with online ticket exchange platform Viagogo.

The new agreement will allow the Alpine team to distribute ticket inventory directly on the platform under a distribution model called direct issuance.

Alpine will also be able to utilize Viagogo’s technology platform and data insights to engage new audiences and marketing opportunities.

Additionally, Viagogo’s branding will be visible across the Alpine Formula One team’s garage environment, hospitality areas, and digital platforms throughout the 2025 season.

Oliver Oakes, team principal of BWT Alpine Formula One, has said: “The partnership with Viagogo is an exciting step to bring BWT Alpine Formula One Team closer to fans worldwide.

“By making tickets more accessible through a safe and trusted platform, we’re ensuring more supporters can experience the thrill of race day firsthand. We’re committed to enhancing the fan experience and strengthening global presence – this collaboration is a testament to that.”

Matt Drew, international business development lead at Viagogo, added: “We’re excited to partner with BWT Alpine Formula One Team to make attending Formula One races easier than ever for fans around the world.

“In 2024, fans from 160 countries bought tickets on Viagogo to see F1 live, and through this partnership, we will connect even more fans to their favorite races. Our goal is to bring supporters closer to world-class events with a seamless experience, while helping our partner expand their global reach and grow revenues.”

Last month, the F1 outfit also bolstered its commercial partner ranks for the new season with cruise operator MSC Cruises and Argentine e-commerce company Mercado Libre.

MSC Cruises will serve as a premium partner of the F1 outfit in a multi-year deal and have prominent branding space on Alpine’s A525 race cars for the 2025 season. Mercado Libre's logo will also feature on the team's cars.

During the 2024 F1 campaign, Alpine finished sixth in the 10-team constructors' standings.

Meanwhile, the F1 TV in-house streaming platform is being enlarged via the launch of F1 TV Premium, a new premier service that enables fans to watch all the season’s action in 4K Ultra HD/HDR.

A new, personalized, Multiview feature is also being made available on select devices.

F1 TV Premium will be available to purchase through Chrome web browser, Apple iOS, Apple TV, and Roku, and will enable subscribers to watch action on up to six devices simultaneously.

Ian Holmes, F1's chief media rights and broadcasting officer, has said: “Since its launch, F1 TV has evolved to become one of the most sophisticated streaming platforms in sports. F1 TV Premium further elevates the viewing experience by allowing fans to create a personalized platform that enables them to become fully immersed in every incident, wheel-to-wheel battle, and victory across all 24 races.”

The 2025 F1 season begins in Melbourne, Australia, on March 16.
