The UCI, cycling’s global governing body, has announced the hosts for 16 upcoming World Championship events through 2030, securing its calendar for the remainder of the decade.
10 countries across four continents will put on the range of events, which come from the various different disciplines overseen by the UCI.

Most prominently, the UCI has allocated the 2029 Road World Championships to Denmark, in a location yet to be decided, and the 2030 Road World Championships to Brussels, Belgium.
The UCI’s 2030 Track World Championships meanwhile will take place in Brisbane, Australia.
Australia will also host the 2028 UCI Para-Cycling Road World Championships on its Sunshine Coast in the state of Queensland, while in 2026, Apeldoorn, Netherlands will put on the Para-cycling Track World Championships.
At the Junior level, the 2028 Track World Championships will be held in Asuncion, Paraguay.

By GlobalDataBelgium, a powerhouse of the sport, will – alongside the 2030 Road World Championships – also host the 2029 BMX Racing World Championships across Heusden-Zolder, and the 2030 Cyclo-cross World Championships in Namur.
The 2028 World Championships in the Cyclo-cross discipline will be held in Hoogerheide, Netherlands.
The UK will consecutively host the 2026 and 2027 Masters Track World Championships, the UCI’s top track event for amateur cyclists, while France will stage the 2026 UCI Snow Bike World Championships.
This slate will begin with the 2025 UCI Mountain Bike Eliminator World Championships, an event established in 2019, which will be hosted by Sakarya, Turkey for the first time.
Capping off the four continents, Jakarta, Indonesia will stage the 2028 and 2029 UCI Urban Cycling World Championships.
The list of events was revealed at the UCI’s annual conference, which took place in Zurich, Switzerland.
At the conference, the body also announced the addition of two new members, the national cycling federations of the Pacific island nations of Nauru, and Palau.
The addition of the two states brings the number of UCI members to 205.
