Management Occupations drive sports industry hiring activity
Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Management Occupations, which accounted for 13% of the total new job postings in Q4 2023 and were down by 33% year-on-year. Second highest were Office and Administrative Support Occupations, which accounted for 12% and drop by 15% year-on-year, and third highest were Sales and Related Occupations, which were 13% of the new job postings and 45% lower year-on-year.
Top five companies in sports industry accounted for 35% of hiring activity
The highest number of jobs were posted by Tesco with 12,713, followed by JD Sports Fashion with 2,724, while the highest increase was at AECOM at 34%.
