Sports marketing heavyweight Infront, a technology partner of French soccer’s Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP), has partnered with Genius Sports, the international sports data technology company, to utilise its tracking services. 

The partnership will aim to implement Genius Sports’ tracking technology across France’s Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, with technology and data services to the LFP part of a broader partnership encompassing betting rights, selected media rights, and digital and technology services, the latter powered by Infront Lab, the firm's innovation arm.

As part of the deal, the LFP will have access to GeniusIQ, Genius Sports’ AI and data platform, allowing the league body to have a single, connected system that will aim to help with player and game analysis.

Additionally, data tracking insights will be displayed to Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 viewers in real time.

The coordination of the technology with the LFP will be handled by Infront.
