The International Cricket Council (ICC) has today unveiled a tie-up with sports data and technology provider Stats Perform through 2027.

The deal gives Stats Perform exclusive rights to distribute official ICC data and live streams to licensed betting firms worldwide, and represents a return to the Stats Perform fold for the ICC – its last partner in this capacity was Sportradar, from late 2021 through 2023.

Stats Perform and the ICC were partnered before then, from 2019 for the next couple of years or so.

It is believed that Sportradar did not attempt to go back in to renew these rights, which are not as easy to monetize as other sets in its extensive global portfolio.

All major ICC men’s and women’s events during the 2024-27 cycle are covered by this agreement, starting with the remaining games from the ongoing Men’s T20 World Cup, taking place currently in the Caribbean and the US.

Other events covered include the Women’s T20 World Cup later this year in Bangladesh and the ICC Champions Trophy in early 2025 in Pakistan.

For its betting operator partners, this deal will see Stats Perform provide services including low-latency video streams, and ball-by-ball match data.

Anurag Dahiya, chief commercial officer at the ICC, has said: “We are delighted to reunite with Stats Perform, and have been impressed by the way their recent AI-powered innovations have triggered new growth for the sports industry. We hope the partnership is another important step in enhancing the digital consumption of cricket content globally.”

In recent weeks, the ICC has unveiled an eight-year extension with Emirates through 2031, a renewal with Aramco through 2027, and another with FanCraze.

However, reports in late May suggested that the MRF Indian tire brand had ended its long-running global sponsorship deal covering ICC events.

The T20 World Cup began on June 1, with the 20-team event running through until the final on June 29.
