PointsBet partners with NFL’s Bears and Colts
PointsBet, the global online bookmaker, has agreed partnerships with the Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts, making it the official sportsbooks partner of both NFL franchises.
Under both deals, PointBet will gain full usage of each team’s IP, logos and marks for its marketing. It will also have access to sponsorship opportunities and brand visibility across the franchises various digital assets.
For its deal with the Bears, PointsBet will offer fans a unique sign-up code for its mobile app to access special promotions.
PointsBet recently launched its mobile app and online sports betting platform in the state of Illinois and will debut its new retail sportsbook presence in Chicago at four sites that surround the metropolitan area, including a flagship location at the city’s Hawhorne Race Course in Stickney.
Johnny Aitken, PointsBet’s US chief executive, said: “Since launching our fast and differentiated mobile sports betting app in Illinois, we’ve been thrilled by the reception from Chicago sports bettors.
“We’ve always viewed Illinois to be a supreme marketing opportunity for the PointsBet brand, and we look forward to increasing our presence alongside famed partners in the Chicago Bears.”
PointsBet’s agreement with the Colts, meanwhile, also includes sponsorship of the team’s official podcast. The operator will launch mobile push notifications for Colts regular season games prior to kick off.
The sportsbook already has a multi-year partnership in place with fellow state team, NBA basketball's Indiana pacers.

PointsBet is based in Australia, but has been active in certain USA states since January 2019.
In February this year, the company signed a multi-year partnership with the NBA, becoming the league’s 11th authorised betting operator. The deal represented its first tie-up with a USA-based professional sports league.
The bookmaker also signed a partnership with LaLiga North America, a regional arm of the top Spanish soccer league in March, giving it rights to use LaLiga’s IP, and collaborate on best-in-class practices to protect the integrity of LaLiga games.
Last month, PointsBet struck a multi-year, wide-ranging sports betting partnership with Kroenke Sports and Entertainment, becoming the official gaming partner of three sports teams based in Denver, Colorado owned by KSE: NBA’s Denver Nuggets, NHL ice hockey’s Colorado Avalanche and the National Lacrosse League’s Colorado Mammoth.
It also agreed a five-year partnership with NBC that involves the US media giant taking an equity stake in the bookmaker and a multi-year content and marketing deal with US golf’s PGA Tour.
