Branch and Laing to direct CSM communications offering
CSM Sport & Entertainment, the UK-based agency, has launched a dedicated communications offering to enhance its services to clients.
The team is headed up by business directors Scott Branch and Joe Laing, and based on three core pillars of: strategic communications and public relations; digital communications; and communications consultancy.
CSM, which is active in sports including rugby, cricket and motor racing, already has more than 40 communications specialists across the globe, with major hubs in the UK, United Arab Emirates, France, Hong Kong, USA, Germany and Brazil.
However, this is the first time there has been a formal communications offering, and the agency aims to use it to support existing clients and attract new business.
Branch (pictured) said: “Helping more brands and rights holders leverage their sport and entertainment platforms and engage audiences through strong and effective communications is, as we have seen in recent months, more vital than ever before.
“CSM has been delivering best-in-class communications programmes for several years and our client base has continued to grow organically. With more and more clients coming to us on a communications first basis, it made sense to formalise our offering.”
The launch comes on the back of CSM recently landing a significant new client in Umbro UK, the sportswear firm, which has secured kit deals in rugby union with the England national team and domestic club Bristol Bears and the Williams Formula 1 team.
Other clients that utilise CSM’s communications services include Land Rover, cycling team UAE Team Emirates, motor racing’s Formula E, Indian cricket's Rajasthan Royals, Sure, AIA, Hisense, and Diageo whisky brand Talisker.
