Pakistan Cricket Board puts out tender for website
The Pakistan Cricket Board has today issued a request for proposal (RFP) for companies interested in managing, designing and developing its corporate website for the next three years, to August 2023.
In a statement, the PCB said applying companies should have “financial strength, and experience within the highest level of cricket, (as well as) a clear and precise knowledge of fan requirements."
The deadline for obtaining bidding documents from the PCB is 31 July, and initial submissions must be made by 5 August.
The PCB is aiming to have the role filled by late-August, after a two-stage bidding process.
Bidding documents, as well as more information about the role, can be found by emailing Azlan Shahid at email@example.com.
The PCB is currently embroiled in a legal dispute with Blitz Advertising, a rights holder for the Pakistan Super League Twenty20 tournament, over rights payments for the suspended 2020 season.
Blitz Advertising and Techfront, a UAE-based sports technology and management company, hold the domestic broadcasting rights to the PSL in a deal worth $36 million, which runs from 2019 to 2021.
The PCB recently activated an insurance guarantee from Blitz of $6 million, which was held as security for the contract, after Blitz held back a payment for the 2020 PSL season believing it was tied to the completion of the season.
Blitz announced this week it has taken out a stay order in the civil courts in Lahore.
