The Switch to deliver UK horse racing streams to Jockey Club of Turkey
The Switch, the live video production platform, has been appointed by the Jockey Club of Turkey to provide live horse racing streams from the UK.
TJK will receive feeds picked up from London’s BT Tower via The Switch’s ‘Access’ service, which will then be live streamed over its dedicated online channel to its betting shops around the country.
The agreement with The Switch allows TJK customers to watch and place bets on live UK race broadcasts across the flat racing season, including the 1000 Guineas and 2000 Guineas.
Using The Switch’s video distribution network, TJK will offer uninterrupted live feeds from races at venues such as Newmarket and Ascot to its customers in Turkey.
TJK claims to have an audience of 600,000 in the country.
Murat Kuyumcu, technical director, TJK, said: “Our customers want to feel like they are at the racecourse, experiencing the action as it unfolds, and not missing a single moment. Working with The Switch means we only have to deal with one service provider to meet our needs, instead of coordinating multiple services.
“We also benefit from their unmatched experience in supporting live content and their robust network performance for smooth delivery of live feeds through our channel.”
Royal Ascot, the prestigious UK horse racing meeting, was staged earlier this month behind closed doors for the first time in its history.
The Switch, which is headquartered in New York, USA, provides global audiences with access to live events across linear TV, on-demand and streaming platforms, on multiple screens and devices.
