Stats Perform and ChyronHego partner to deliver in-stadia graphics
Stats Perform, the international sports data and technology provider, has entered a partnership with broadcast software specialists ChyronHego to develop in-stadia graphics to boost fan engagement and create new commercial opportunities.
Under the tie-up, Stats Perform will combine ChyronHego’s ‘Click Effects Prime’ stadium and arena graphics with its own data pools to create real-time graphics and digital advertisements.
The new technology will also allow rights holders to publish graphics via their digital platforms. The offerings will include player images, heat maps and team performance graphs.
With leagues and competitions resuming after the coronavirus pandemic, the new partners aim to present alternative streams for match day sponsors to connect with fans unable to attend venues while restrictions remain in place.
Olivier Cohen, ChyronHego’s senior vice president of marketing, said: “We’re proud to partner with leading data providers such as Stats Perform to help our shared clients offer interesting in-venue visuals that enhance their fans’ understanding and enjoyment of the game.
“The combination of Click Effect Prime and ChyronHego’s creative services with advanced data from Stats Perform allows users to create more meaningful experiences for fans and to incorporate new sponsored elements into the game-day production.”
The deal sees ChyronHego join Stats Perform’s Sports Partners Intelligence Network, which includes the company’s artificial intelligence and technology-based partners.
Wayne Ford, senior vice-president of global partners and channels at Stats Perform, said: “Incorporating rich game insights with advanced data visuals has a profound impact on the in-stadium fan experience. Uniting two innovative, immersive technologies, our new partnership with ChyronHego empowers users to elevate the fan experience through advanced data and content creation.
“It is an ideal combination of colleges, universities and professional sports franchises looking to offer more dynamic and engaging experience for their fans.”
Stats Perform was created last July from the merger of Stats, the US sports data company, and Perform, the Europe-based data and betting operation, and has sought to position itself as a leader in sports AI and data.
