Lefray swaps Team Marketing for CAA Eleven media rights sales role

Stephane Lefray is switching Uefa agencies and will join CAA Eleven following his exit from Team Marketing, Sportcal can exclusively reveal.
Lefray officially left his role as head of sales for media rights at Team, which markets commercial rights to Uefa’s top European club soccer competitions, yesterday.
He will start at Nyon-based CAA Eleven next month in a similar media rights sales capacity, albeit for national team competitions such as the Uefa European Championships and Uefa Nations League.
Back in October, Sportcal revealed that Jean-Christophe Petit, senior vice-president and head of media at CAA Eleven, was leaving to join Fifa as director of media sales.
Lefray joined Lucerne-based Team in February 2013 as sales manager, supporting the media rights sales process for the top-tier Uefa Champions League and second-tier Uefa Europa League, with a particular focus on the French and African markets.
The Frenchman was appointed head of sales in April 2018. Team's media rights department continues to be headed up by Tom Höher.
Lefray joined Team from French pay-TV broadcaster Canal Plus where he spent five years as sports TV rights acquisition and sales manager.
He also counts Paris-based sports marketing agency IFAP Sports and FC Sochaux, presently of French soccer's second-tier Ligue 2, as former employers.
Team is in the process of marketing rights to the Champions League, Europa League and new third-tier Europa Conference League for the 2021-22 to 2023-24 cycle.
To date, deals have been concluded in the UK, France, USA, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Russia and the Nordic region.
