Cricket Ireland launches production tender for summer series
Cricket Ireland, the sport's domestic governing body, today launched a request for proposals for TV production and broadcast services.
The RFP covers the Ireland men's home internationals in the International Cricket Council's Future Tours Programme for 2020 only.
Bids should be submitted by email to Siobhan.firstname.lastname@example.org by 5pm (UK) on 2 March.
Cricket Ireland will then make a shortlist and may contact bidders directly to answer questions in relation to their bids and to seek clarifications if required.
The successful bidder will be announced no later than 25 March.
Matches covered in the tender are: three one-day internationals against Bangladesh in early May; three Twenty20 matches and three one-day internationals against New Zealand in June and July; and two ODIs against Pakistan in July.
In addition, Ireland are set to play four T20s against Bangladesh in late May in neutral venues in England, while redevelopment work is undertaken at the Clontarf ground near Dublin.
Cricket Ireland said interested parties must submit separate bids for the matches played in Ireland and England.
In addition, bidders have been asked to clarify whether their offers include production and delivery of a half-hour highlights programme and clips for use on Cricket Ireland digital platforms, and if not what the additional costs for these would be.
Ireland's cricket matches have traditionally been shown in the UK by pay-TV operator Sky.
