DraftKings partners with three NBA teams
DraftKings, the US fantasy sport and betting company, has signed sponsorship deals with the National Basketball Association’s Indiana Pacers, Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers.
All three partnerships allow DraftKings the use of official team marks and logos, and various other branding options.
Ezra Kucarz, chief business officer at DraftKings, said: “Each of these partnerships represent a common strategy and stress the importance NBA teams and DraftKings place on fan engagement and overall customer service.”
The Pacers deal makes DraftKings the team’s official daily fantasy sports partner and betting partner. DraftKings said that under the partnership, it will offer unique experiences for customers including VIP fantasy camp opportunities and honourary team captain presentations.
Under the partnership with the 76ers, DraftKings becomes the team’s official daily fantasy sports partner, as well as its sportsbook and casino partner, offering VIP fans an all-access look at the training complex and season tickets and suites for hospitality and promotional use.
Meanwhile, as a Celtics partner, DraftKings will be the team’s official daily fantasy partner and will solely focus on fantasy sports as sports betting is yet to be legalised in Massachusetts. The company will have access to marketing promotions and customer experiences, including VIP watch parties and sweepstakes.
Earlier this month, DraftKings was named the official daily fantasy sports partner and gaming operator of XFL, the new American football league.
