Genoa reunite with Kappa in new kit deal
Genoa, the Italian soccer club, have signed a multi-year deal with Kappa, the Italian sportswear brand, to become the club’s new technical sponsor from the start of the 2019-20 season.
Kappa will replace fellow Italian sportswear company Lotto Sport Italia, which has been Genoa’s kit supplier for the past seven seasons.
The agreement reunites Genoa, one of the oldest clubs in Italy, with Kappa following a partnership between the two parties in the late 1990s.
All Genoa teams will wear Kappa-made kit, both during games and at training.
Kappa adds to its portfolio of Italian Serie A clubs which includes Napoli, Empoli and Sassuolo.
The brand also has an existing deal with Torino but it is not expected to continue into next season as the Turin-based club is set to announce a new kit deal with Joma, the Spanish sportswear manufacturer.
Elsewhere in soccer, Kappa also recently signed a new three-year kit deal with Aston Villa, the English soccer club newly promoted to the Premier League.
