LaLiga sponsor El Corte Inglés to sell tickets for four clubs
El Corte Inglés, the Spanish department store chain, will sell tickets on behalf of Getafe, of Spanish soccer’s top-tier LaLiga, and second-tier clubs Albacete, Elche and Gimnastic de Tarragona, as part of its partnership with the league.
Under its three-year sponsorship renewal with LaLiga last year, El Corte Inglés was given the right to create a ticket sales platform for matches in the top two divisions for participating clubs.
In its first roll-out of the service, fans of Getafe, Albacete, Elche and Gimnastic will be able to purchase tickets for their team’s respective matches in the El Corte Inglés shopping centres, online via its website, by telephone or through Viajes El Corte Inglés, the company’s travel agency.
More than 600 physical points of sale will be available for each match, according to LaLiga.
In addition, El Corte Inglés has partnered with Expertus Technologies, the financial technology company, to allow fans purchasing tickets online to view stadiums in 3D to see how they would view the match from their chosen seat.
Fans will also have the possibility to manage season tickets through El Corte Inglés and can register as subscribers through the respective club’s websites, on the El Corte Inglés website, or in person at the El Corte Inglés shopping centres and travel agencies.
El Corte Inglés said more LaLiga clubs will be added “in the coming months.”
This further builds on the relationship between the league and the department store group that began in the 2017-18 season.Sportcal
