Two Circles pairs up with ATP Finals in London
Two Circles, the UK-based data-driven agency owned by GroupM, has been appointed by the ATP, the organiser of the top men's tennis tour, to provide marketing support and boost ticket sales for this year's Nitto ATP Finals in London.
Two Circles, which already works with the Wimbledon Championships, the UK's grand slam event, is to use its experience as a marketing agency for sports rights-holders “to build on the ATP’s existing marketing strategy, and provide new customer insights with the goal of maximising attendance.”
This year's Finals will be the second last to take place in London after the city recently lost the hosting rights to Turin in Italy, in an agreement running from 2021 to 2025.
The event has been held at O2 arena in the UK capital since 2009 and averaged over 250,000 spectators a year.
Adam Hogg, event director at the ATP Finals, said: “We need to ensure tickets get in the hands of both hardcore fans, and those new to the sport looking to experience the event’s famous atmosphere at The O2. Two Circles have a strong track record in this area and we’re excited to see the positive results of our work together.”
This year's tournament takes place from 10 to 17 November.
Two Circles, which in January opened a Los Angeles office to accompany its existing US office in New York and European offices in London and Bern, works with various high-profile sports bodies and leagues, including the England and Wales Cricket Board, England's Rugby Football Union, English soccer's Premier League, Uefa and the NFL.
