Visa strengthens Paralympics ties with gold Tokyo 2020 deal
Visa, the US credit card company, has signed up as a top-tier, 'gold partner' of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
Visa, which is already a top-tier, TOP sponsor of the Olympic Games and a worldwide partner of the Paralympics, becomes the 71st partner of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.
It has secured the 'payment systems' category, and will provide valuable support to the successful delivery of the games.
Yoshiro Mori, president of Tokyo 2020, said: “Visa is the International Paralympic Committee’s longest serving partner having first come on board in 2003. The company has also supported athletes aiming to excel at the Paralympic Games via its Team Visa programme. I am confident they will provide huge support for the Tokyo 2020 Games and generate further enthusiasm for the Paralympic movement.”
