Radio Italia extends national team deal and sponsors European U21 Champs
Radio Italia, the Italian music radio station, has renewed as an official media partner of the national soccer team, in a deal running to 2022.
The four-year extension with the FIGC, the national federation, also encompasses both the Italian under-21 team and the women's teams.
In addition, Radio Italia has been named as an official partner of the 2019 Uefa European Under-21 Championship, to be hosted by Italy and San Marino.
The radio station will continue to promote the Italian national teams across its digital platforms and create and distribute social media content in collaboration with the FIGC's channels.
The renewal between Radio Italia and the FIGC extends a long-standing partnership that dates back to 2006, the year Italy last won the World Cup.
Alessandro Volanti, marketing director of Radio Italia, said: "We are proud to communicate our role as official partner of the Uefa European Under-21 Championship 2019, an exclusive and unique position among the national radio companies, which besides guaranteeing us European visibility will allow us to extend our social fan base, but also to expand our radio listening range.”
Earlier this month, the FIGC extended its partnership with Eni, the Italian energy company, until 2022.
