FAI in two-year sponsorship deal with SportPesa
The Football Association of Ireland, the national governing body for soccer in the Republic of Ireland, has agreed a two-year sponsorship deal with SportPesa, the betting, gaming and technology company.
The Kenya-based company recently raised its profile by signing up as the new title sponsor of the rebranded Racing Point Formula 1 team, formerly Force India.
It is also the gaming partner for rugby union’s Guinness Pro14 Rugby Championship and, in soccer, is a partner of Ireland’s Cork City and English club sides Everton, Arsenal, Hull City, and Southampton.
Shaun Simmonds, SportPesa’s head of marketing, said: “This is an incredibly exciting time for football in Ireland with the country set to host some key matches during next year’s European Championships.
“As with our other partnerships in sport - we are looking forward to playing a key role in the FAI’s ongoing CSR, programmes and initiatives.”
Dublin is among 12 host cities for next year’s multi-centre Uefa European Championships, and will stage three group-games and a round of 16 fixture at the Aviva Stadium.
