Former Visa man Pepe is new commercial chief at US Olympic and Paralympic Properties
US Olympic and Paralympic Properties, the joint venture formed between LA 2028, the organising committee of the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, and the US Olympic Committee, to ensure that the two organisations do not compete against one another for funding in the run-up to the games, has appointed Chris Pepe as its chief commercial officer.
Pepe will be responsible for the development and execution of the sponsorship strategy for the LA 2028 and Team USA brands, including new business development and partnership marketing.
Pepe, who will work from both the Los Angeles and New York offices, has extensive experience in management, negotiation, market activation and business development at brands, leagues and agencies, including: Visa, a top-tier ‘TOP’ Olympic sponsor; Fifa, soccer’s world governing body; North America’s Major League Soccer; and Yahoo!, the internet giant.
During 10 years at Visa, Pepe held various leadership positions, including head of strategic partnerships, head of US sports & entertainment partnerships and global head of Fifa/football management in Visa’s worldwide sponsorships and partnerships group.
Pepe began his career as a corporate attorney and most recently led his own consulting firm.
