MLB has two options on table for London 2020
Major League Baseball's New York Mets could be set to follow city rivals the Yankees to London, in 2020, according to reports.
MLB has committed to playing two regular-season games in the UK capital in both 2019 and 2020, with the Yankees and the Boston Red Sox to meet in a double-header at the Olympic Stadium on 29 and 30 June.
The league has yet to reveal the line-up for 2020, but, according to AP, the Mets versus the Washington Nationals is being considered, as is the Chicago Cubs versus the St. Louis Cardinals.
MLB has four regular season series scheduled for international sites in 2019, with the others being: Oakland Athletics-Seattle Mariners in Tokyo, and Cardinals-Cincinnati Reds and Houston Astros-LA Angels in Monterrey, Mexico.
The collective bargaining agreement calls for a 2020 regular season opening series in Asia, as well as more games in Mexico and London. Games in Puerto Rico or the Dominican Republic are on the schedule as well.
