British Basketball League returns to BBC digital platforms
The BBC, the UK’s public-service broadcaster, is once again to provide digital coverage of the British Basketball League this season.
BBC Sport will from now on offer one free-to-view live game per week from the 2018-19 season on its website and app, starting with tonight’s clash between the Newcastle Eagles and the Plymouth Raiders, which marks the opening of the Eagles’ new Community Arena.
The tie-up also includes live coverage of the British Basketball Cup Finals in Birmingham on 27 January.
The BBC has shown BBL games in previous seasons, and its live coverage complements that already available, on a subscription basis, on the LiveBasketball.TV platform.
