New sponsor for Eintracht, renewals for Augsburg and Leipzig
The Bundesliga trio of Eintracht Frankfurt, FC Augsburg and RB Leipzig have announced new sponsorship deals.
Insurance company DFV becomes a premium partner and official insurance partner of Eintracht until the end of the 2022-23 season in a deal brokered by the Lagardère Sports agency.
DFV and Eintracht said there will be a "strong focus on digital activation."
Earlier this year, Eintracht invoked a clause in their long-running commercial rights contract with Lagardère and invited tenders from agencies for the rights from the 2019-20 season onwards.
Lagardère has been Eintracht’s commercial agency for the last 15 years and its on-site team sells sponsorship rights and hospitality packages.
The agency also brokered Augsburg's renewal with Reinhard Kastner, the automotive parts supplier.
The company will continue to have its own hospitality lounge and advertising boards at Augsburg’s WWK Arena.
Lagardère is contracted to manage the club’s overall commercial and marketing activities, including the brokering of sponsorship deals and the development of new sponsorship concepts, until the end of June 2024.
Meanwhile, Leipzig have renewed their sponsorship deal with Sparkasse, the German financial services firm.
The two organisations first teamed up at the beginning of the 2017-18 season.
Sparkasse will get branding on LED boards around Leipzig's Red Bull Arena, and there will be an increase in the number of Sparkasse terminals allowing contactless payment by debit and credit card.
