Online registration for Buenos Aires 2018 YOG to open on 31 July
Online registration to acquire Youth Olympic Passes in the form of electronic bracelets giving access to the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games opens on 31 July, organisers have announced.
With the bracelet, members of the public will be able to enter the four Youth Olympic parks and the competition stadia free of charge, and will also be able to participate in more than 1,200 cultural activities. Registration can be completed at www.buenosaires2018.com.
“Hundreds of thousands” of passes will be available, organisers said, and once registered, they will be available to be picked up starting at the end of August until the start of the games on 6 October.
The bracelets will be mandatory to access the parks and stadia. A system will be implemented so that spectators from other parts of Argentina and abroad can pick up their passes upon arrival in Buenos Aires.
The parks and stadiums will have a maximum capacity limit, with a first-come, first-served system to be used, giving preference to those who arrive first.
The games are scheduled for 6 to 18 October, with 4,000 athletes from 206 countries expected to participate.
