WD-40 seals deals for two speedway events
WD-40, the USA-based lubricants brand, has signed up to sponsor two international speedway events this year.
The brand is to serve as the title sponsor of the Danish FIM Speedway Grand Prix in Horsens on 30 June, and as a technical partner of the British Speedway Grand Prix in Cardiff on 21 July.
Adrian Flux, the insurance company, is the title sponsor of the UK event.
The new deals were struck with BSI Speedway, part of the motor sports division of IMG, the international sports and entertainment company.
Martin Hawyes, two wheels channel manager for WD-40, said: “WD-40 Company already has a well-established reputation within motorcycle sport with successful partnerships already existing in the British Superbike Championship with Team WD-40, the World Superbike Championship with the Aruba IT Ducati team and at MotoGP Level with the Alma Pramac Ducati team.
“WD-40 Company also has a well-established reputation in the off-road world with its support of national and international level trials and motocross events.”
