Sharjah Sports nets Liga Endesa rights across MENA
Spanish basketball’s top-tier Liga Endesa is to be broadcast across the Middle East and North Africa for the remainder of the 2017-18 season by Sharjah Sports, the sports channel of Sharjah Media Corporation.
The agreement, which was brokered by MP & Silva, the international sports agency involved in distributing rights to the league on behalf of organiser ACB, also includes the Copa del Rey, the knockout cup competition.
Sharjah Sports will show two games per week live in 23 MENA countries: Algeria; Bahrain; Chad; Djibouti; Egypt; Iran; Iraq; Jordan; Kuwait; Lebanon; Libya; Mauritania; Morocco; Oman; Palestine; Qatar; Saudi Arabia; Somalia; Sudan; Syria; Tunisia; United Arab Emirates; and Yemen.
In recent months, MP & Silva has sealed Liga Endesa rights deals in Finland, with telecoms firm Endesa, and in Denmark, Norway and Sweden with multi-platform operator OZ.
