The Sport Industry Awards 2005 Now Open For Entries

The Sport Industry Awards 2005 is open and calling for entries to its Sponsorship Award categories, 'Best Sponsorship of AN Sport Event or Programme' and 'Best Sponsorship of a Sport team or Individual'.

The team of judges are looking for sponsorship campaigns from the last year that have successfully reached their target audiences, gained maximum exposure and kept a unique synergy between the sponsor and the event or
team. Deadline for entries is Friday 17th December 2004 and the gala award presentation will take place on Thursday 28th April 2005 at the Old Billingsgate Market in London. For all entry information please visit the

Last years winners, Stella Artois for its Stella Artois Tennis Championships and O2 for its sponsorship of England Rugby, beat tough competition from Natwest, Carling, McDonalds, Vodafone and adidas to pick up the coveted
awards.

This year's entries will be judged by a selection of the most respected names in the world of sport. The panel, chaired by John Inverdale, has been enhanced by the arrivals of Mark Cornish, Managing Director of TNS Sport,
Rachael Heyhoe-Flint, the first female board member of the MCC and finally, Sally Gunnell, Olympic Gold Medallist and BBC Sports Broadcaster. They will be joining current panellists; Roger Draper (Chief Executive -Sport
England), Marzena Bogdanowicz (Director of Marketing - BOA), Marcel Knobil (Founder of the Brand Council and Super Brands), Michael Nutley (Editor - New Media Age), David Owen (Sports Editor - FT), Bruce Haines (Group Chief
Executive - Leo Burnett), Jon Holmes (Chairman - SFX) and Mike Reynolds (Director - ISS and Sportsmatch).
