Rugby's Barbarians Sign up New Jersey Sponsor
Rugby welcomes a new sponsor today. The Barbarians announce that Gartmore, one of the UK's leading investment management specialists, is to sponsor the world famous invitation club for an initial two-year period.
The deal includes Gartmore's logo appearing on the traditional black and white hooped jersey as well as a new range of club merchandise, match day perimeter board advertising and VIP hospitality.
Glyn Jones, Gartmore's Chief Executive said: 'This is Gartmore's first foray into rugby sponsorship and we are absolutely delighted to be forming a partnership with the Barbarians. Our key values are closely aligned - both brands stand for heritage, trust and loyalty. In addition both organisations have an absolute focus on striving to deliver top performance and aim to have teams that represent the best of the best in their respective fields. As an added bonus, the Barbarians are renowned for playing extremely exciting rugby! I am sure that this union will be a one to be proud of.'

'We have some important matches in the remainder of the season playing at Leicester and Northampton in March, followed by our traditional Summer Tour playing Scotland, Wales and England at the end of May, all within the space of nine days. Then a special finale to the season with a match against Portugal in Lisbon on Portuguese National Day, June 10th, to celebrate the centenary of the first rugby match being played in that country.'
