New Grand Prix Game by Malaki

Motor racing - 09 Sep 2004
Malaki Sporting Games are please to announce the launch of the new ‘Grand Prix Game’ on Monday 6th September 2004. This game will offer F1 fans long overdue interactivity, unpredictability and added value.

Play The Grand Prix Game at

www.grandprixgame.com or call 09055 660660

The ‘Grand Prix Game’ is the first in a number of games being launched by Malaki. The game works around the results of every Formula One race. Currently there are 17 races each season and there is a new game for each race. The ‘Grand Prix Game’ will go LIVE on September 6th for the Italian Grand Prix on the 12th and for every subsequent Grand Prix.

'A beautifully simple and exciting idea with massive potential across several high profile international sporting events. M&C Saatchi are pleased to be involved.'
Michael Moszynski - Founding Partner of M&C Saatchi and CEO of Immediate Sales

The Idea
Predict the first six drivers across the finish line, in the correct order, and win a share of the worldwide ‘Grand Prix Game’ jackpot.

How to take part
There is no need for players to pre-register or enrol and the minimum of player data is asked for. From virtually any country in the world, one can either visit the web site or within the UK call a dedicated phone number, and coming shortly, send an SMS text message from your mobile, detailing your prediction. Predictions will be accepted right up until the start of the parade lap of the race itself.

The 09055 660660 number is an IVR service that can be called from landlines and mobiles. Calls made by mobile will automatically receive a text message confirming entry and unique ref no. Calls made by landline must note their unique ref number down but are given the choice of entering a mobile number to receive a confirmation text as well.

How much does it costs
Each individual prediction costs £1, plus a transaction or call charge. Every £1 prediction placed is added directly to the jackpot total. For example, ten million predictions are made, the jackpot will be £10 million.

How to win
You only win if you have the top six drivers in the correct order. There are no secondary prizes. However, there will soon be runners-up or promotional 'gifts' to lucky losers.

The jackpot will be divided equally between the players who have correctly predicted the order of the top six cars to finish the race.

Claims and Info
Winning claims can be made by calling 08712 712100, this number may also be used to obtain information about the rules and regulations, driver numbers etc…

Rollover!
If no one predicts the correct top six finishing order, the entire jackpot is rolled over to the next race and each £1 prediction for the next race adds to this total.

The size of the jackpots, especially when rollovers occur will create enormous extra interest and publicity.

Forecasted winners
Based on analysis of the previous four years (67 races), it is possible that a single winner could win the entire jackpot. Based on a jackpot total of £2.5M, forecasts are that for a relatively predictable race outcome, some 1000 winners of the game would each receive approx £2500 - for just a £1 entry fee (plus handling charge). A slightly more unexpected race result would mean some 250 winners would win approx £10,000. A very unusual result could mean some 25 players each winning approx £100,000.

A roll over situation is expected several times each season. Of course all these stats will vary depending on who crashes out etc.
