Liverpool FC, Standard Chartered and HSBC to Speak at European Forum
Soccerex are delighted to announce that representatives from Liverpool FC, Standard Chartered and HSBC will all be speaking on an exclusive panel at the Soccerex European Forum (30-31 March, Manchester) to discuss the key to successful sponsorship relationships.
The panel, titled “Know your other half: the key to a perfect sponsorship marriage”, will look at the critical components which motivate sponsors to invest in certain properties, comparing the association with a team to association with a major event.
Ian Ayre, Commercial Director, Liverpool FC will be joined by Gavin Laws, Group Head of Corporate Affairs at Liverpool’s main club sponsor, Standard Chartered. Adding an event association perspective to the discussion will be Ian Ritchie, CEO, The All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, the body responsible for the Wimbledon Tennis Championships, as well as Giles Morgan, Head of Global Sponsorships at Wimbledon’s official banking partner, HSBC.
The panel, which will be opening the second day of the event, will offer an insight on the intricacies of the sponsor/rights holder relationship, bringing sponsorship to life and ultimately delivering far-reaching objectives for both parties.
Other topics on the agenda announced so far includes the German football model, financial equality, commercial challenges to differing sized clubs, digital media and fan interaction and Eastern Europe’s upcoming tournaments and market development.
