ISSF unveils 2014/2015 Shooting Championship locations

The ISSF announces the locations of the 2014 / 2015 ISSF Shooting Championship that will be conducted with the new finals format introduced this year. 

Munich, 05/12/2013 – The ISSF announces today the locations of the 2014 and 2015 ISSF Shooting Championship (World Cup Series and World Championship), updating the locations of next year's competition and unveiling the hosts of the 2015 ISSF World Cup Series and Shotgun World Championship.

The 2014 ISSF World Cup Series locations:

   

- Fort Benning (GA, USA): Rifle and Pistol

- Tucson (AZ, USA): Shotgun

- Almaty (KAZ): Shotgun

- Munich (GER): Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun

- Maribor (SLO): Rifle and Pistol

- Beijing (CHN): Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun

- Gabala (AZE): Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun World Cup Final

   

The 2015 ISSF World Cup Series locations:

   

- Changwon (KOR): Rifle and Pistol

- Fort Benning (GA, USA): Rifle and Pistol

- Munich (GER): Rifle and Pistol  

- Gabala (AZE): Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun

- Acapulco (MEX): Shotgun

- Al Ain (UAE): Shotgun

- Larnaca (CYP): Shotgun 

The ISSF Shotgun World Cup Stage planned to be held in Rio de Janeiro next year has been re-allocated to Beijing, where it will be combined with the Rifle and Pistol World Cup Stage to be held there from the 1st through the 10th of July 2014. In 2014, a new ISSF Championship, the ISSF Juniors Cup in Olympic Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun events will be staged in Suhl, Germany, from the 25th of May through the 1st of June. The 2014 ISSF World Championship in all shooting events will be held in Granada, Spain, from the 6th through the 20th of September 2014 as scheduled. The 2015 ISSF World Championship in Shotgun events will be held in Lonato, Italy, dates to be defined. The locations of the 2015 ISSF Shotgun, Rifle and Pistol World Cup Finals are to be defined.

 

ISSF Rules 2013-2016 – New version released

The 2014 and 2015 ISSF Shooting Championship will be conducted following the new finals format introduced this year. The ISSF Administrative Council recently approved an updated "2nd Edition" of the ISSF 2013-2016 Technical Rules. The 1st Edition of these Rules was released at the beginning of 2013 and were in effect during all 2013 ISSF Championships. The ISSF received lots of feedbacks, and evaluated all of the opinions regarding the new Finals and the decision was made to leave the basic formats unchanged, but to make some "fine tuning" changes.
