Inter TV coming on D+ in May
Inter Milan are set to become the second Italian side to have their own digital television channel, and a launch looks likely for May of this year.
The Inter dedicated channel will be available on D+, part of the Telepiu network, and it is hoped that the station will be up and running before the end of the 1999-2000 Serie A season.
The move follows the success of 'Milan Channel', the television station launched last December by arch rivals AC Milan, who already have over 10,000 subscribers.
'Milan Channel' is also available to subscribers of the D+ digital package, which is aiming to increase its subscriptions to 50,000 over the next five years. AS Roma, are currently aiming to float on the Italian Stock Exchange, and are likely to follow Inter to become the third Serie A side with its own channel.
