IEC to Distribute Africa Race
IEC to Distribute Africa Race
IEC in Sports is delighted to have signed a deal to distribute Africa Race. The Rally, which starts December 28 and finishes on January 12, 2009, passing through the diverse African continent, is the brainchild of Hubert Auriol, one of Rally's most decorated and most famous Rally drivers.
Under the terms of the Agreement, IEC will distribute a 26 minute daily highlights show, with a 52 minute show offered to broadcasters on January 12, the final day of this prestigious Event.
IEC is mandated to Africa Race for an initial 3-year term. "We are delighted to have partnered with such a high profile new Event", commented Jonas Persson CEO and IEC, who agreed the new co-operation with Hubert Auriol.
"With the unfortunate cancellation and subsequent relocation of the Dakar Rally, we feel certain this new high profile Event will be very well received by IEC's many broadcast partners worldwide", continued Persson.
"We received a strong interest from many partners who wanted to represent Africa Race but IEC's reputation, dynamism and unparalleled sales capability made the company the obvious choice for us" said Hubert Auriol. "I am sure sponsors and competitors will benefit from IEC's excellent market knowledge which I am confident will put Africa Race firmly on the map from its inception", added Jean-Louis Schlesser.
