IEC Extends 'Smashing' Co-operation!
Under the terms of the Agreement, IEC will handle a large number of the international rights agreements for the Federation, ITTF themselves handling certain territories themselves in keeping with the previous agreement between the companies.
“We are delighted to have renewed this agreement with ITTF”, commented Jonas Persson, CEO of IEC in Sports.
IEC’s relationship with ITTF stems back to 1996 when the agency was first mandated by Table Tennis’ governing body to market their television rights.
“ITTF’s partnership with us goes back more than a decade. The companies have enjoyed a fruitful and mutually-rewarding co-operation and we are pleased to be able to extend this agreement going forward”, commented Adham Sharara, President of ITTF.
“IEC’s sales ability coupled with their dedication to production and satellite co-ordination have served us very valuably over the past ten years and we believe the extension of this partnership is a natural step in the develop of our sport for television”, continued Sharara.
The agreement between ITTF and IEC includes the World Table Tennis Championships for Individuals and Teams (every other year respectively), the ITTF Pro Tour, the prestigious World Cups and the European Top-12 tournament.
The agreement with ITTF was negotiated by IEC’s new office in Lausanne, headed by IEC Director, Nick Haigh. This forms a part of the company’s growing commitment to serving many of the world’s leading Sports Federations and Governing Bodies, many of whom are based or at least have a presence in the Olympic Capital.
“We feel certain that our office in Lausanne, our many years of experience and our staff dedicated to working closely with our Federation partners will be of great mutual benefit to current and prospective clients”, commented Haigh.
The signature of this agreement comes only days after IEC’s office in Lausanne opened its doors.
