Greece Take Title In Thrilling Final

Greece took the European Indoor Championship title for the second time in Herning, Denmark over the weekend. Greek captain George Stogiannos who played in the last Championship victory in 2001 was delighted for his country who will now have the opportunity to further develop the game in Greece. Greece, having scored only 93-3 in their 10 over innings, looked in trouble against holders Denmark who seemed favourites to win at home, however the result was decided on the very last ball. Denmark needing four runs for victory could only manage one from the last two balls and Greece were crowned champions in a thrilling end.
